Introduction
Console Manager will allow you to control the Soundscape Editor, Mixtreme software or Soundscape Mixer software from virtually any control surface, combining the advantages of a large screen computer display with the comfortable feel of real faders and knobs.
Its modular architecture means support for new hardware devices can be added in the future within the same environment, in keeping with the tradition of upgradeability which has consistently been a feature of the Soundscape product range.
Console Manager offers extended compatibility with a wide range of popular control surfaces via dedicated "Console Interfaces."
Any hardware device that is not directly supported but that transmits standard MIDI controller messages can be used as a controller via the entirely user-configurable "MIDI Mixer Map Interface."
Other "generic" Console Interfaces are provided, allowing a Soundscape 32 system to operate as a 9-Pin slave or master, (via RS422), Full Frame Message Decoder slave, or MMC slave.

The MIDI Mixer Map Interface is of particular interest because it allows communication with a wide range of MIDI capable devices that are not directly supported by a dedicated Console Interface.
Please refer to the Readme file supplied with the Console Manager utility for details of the other Console Interfaces. The default path for the Readme file is C:\Program Files\Soundscape\Console Manager (after Console Manager has been installed).
