Depending on the iBox model connected to the Mixpander, up to 64 simultaneous inputs and outputs across a range of formats (MADI, ADAT, TDIF, AES-EBU, Balanced Analog), individually selectable from:
- 64 x MADI I/O at up to 48KHz or 32 x MADI I/O at up to 96kHz (iBox 64-MADI-T, iBox 64-MADI-TA, iBox 64-MADI-S, iBox 64-MADI-SA, iBox 64-MADI-A, iBox 64-MADI-AA).
- 24 x Balanced Analog I/O at up to 96kHz (iBox 64-MADI-TA, iBox 64-MADI-SA, iBox 64-MADI-AA, iBox 48-TA, iBox 48-SA, iBox 48-AA).
- 24 x TDIF I/O at up to 48kHz or 12/24 x TDIF I/O at up to 96kHz (iBox 64-MADI-TA, iBox 64-MADI-T, iBox 48-TA).

Overview
Up until now using Mixpander, the world-beating reference in multi-DSP effects and processing cards, was the exclusive privilege of Soundscape digital audio workstation users. Connected to the expansion port of a Soundscape 32 or compatible digital audio workstation via a proprietary TDM bus, Mixpander lends its awesome power to the Soundscape system to accomplish the most formidable mixing and processing tasks without breaking a sweat and allows multi-channel audio streaming between the Soundscape DAW and the host PC.
Today, with Mixpander bundles, the users of native PC-based systems can enjoy many of the same benefits as Soundscape DAW users when recording or mixing.
Mixpander bundles combine three main elements to provide, quite simply, the ultimate digital audio solution for native PC-based systems:
- A Mixpander|5 (or Mixpander|9) multi-DSP card for mixing, effects and processing.
- A Soundscape iBox input and output module (e.g. iBox 64-MADI, iBox 64-MADI-TA, etc.).
- The associated Soundscape Mixer software, based on the mixer section of the Soundscape Editor.
