Product highlights
IMPORTANT: This information relates to an obsolete version of the Cui Bono iSD Convert and EDL Convert software. This version has now been superseded by the new SSL Pro Convert software, which can be purchased online from the Solid State Logic Online Store. Upgrades are available for current users of the Cui Bono EDL Convert and iSD Convert software.

Quick facts…
- Includes all the functionalities and features of Cui Bono Software's EDL Convert
- Easy conversion of project files between the Soundscape format and a comprehensive range of other formats with unrivalled accuracy
- Direct Read and Write functionalities for PC mounted SDisks (only available with iSD Convert)
- iSD Explorer window (only available with iSD Convert)
Cui Bono Software's EDL Convert is, quite simply, the most comprehensive and most advanced solution ever designed for file exchanges between different DAW systems. EDL Convert can translate whole projects between a wide range of formats including Soundscape and Samplitude/Sequoia, Vegas, Vegas Scripting, Cool Edit Pro, Audition, SAW, SAWStudio, Wavelab, Sadie, Sonic Studio, Discreet, AES31, OpenTL, OMFI, Tascam BU, CMX/GVG and Pro Tools 5.
Created by Cui Bono Software specially for Soundscape users, iSD Convert goes several steps further, making file access, management and exchanges between Soundscape and the PC-native environment even faster and easier, and providing new functionalities for Version 5.0 based systems that include "native Soundscape units".
Every EDL Convert functionality is also present in iSD Convert.
iSD Convert's additional features include:
- Direct read and write functionalities for Soundscape formatted hard disks.
- Conversions of single-disk and multiple-disk projects to and from any of iSD Convert's formats.
NOTE: iSD Convert only handles "native" Soundscape SDisks. This means that it only handles SDisks that are mounted directly on the host PC via its IDE bus, USB or FireWire.
iSD Explorer
iSD Explorer is a new module. Its looks similar to Windows Explorer but is double-paned. There is a left window for Soundscape disks and a right window for PC formatted disks. You can copy or convert audio files, copy entire disks (Soundscape to Soundscape) and even re-format SDisks.

Copy processes include non-Soundscape related files like project describing text documents.
Audio files can either be transferred in their native format or converted to one of the other supported formats.
Copy processes can be initiated in three different ways: via Drag & Drop, by using the corresponding Copy button from the top or by selecting the Copy command from the Context menu.
SDisk Formatter
Also a new module, SDisk Formatter allows pre-formatted SDisks to be reformatted. A disk icon on the left-hand side will help you to distinguish between PC and Soundscape formatted disks. Have fun...!
