* The OMF format allows compatibility with a wide range of workstations and audio sequencers.
* OMF Composition Import: Audio files are imported with or without 2 second handles (as specified by the user) and loaded as a new Soundscape Arrangement.
* OMF Audio Import: Allows the import of selected individual Takes in order to insert them in a Soundscape Arrangement.
* OMF Composition Export: OMF Version 1 and Version 2 are supported. The user can specify WAV, AIFF or SDII format for exported audio files. The audio can be exported with or without handles. Arrangement Parts or entire audio Takes can be exported. Export of Parts can be based on their active/inactive and/or selected/unselected status.
* The import and export options are easily accessed from the Soundscape Editor’s File menu.
Overview
The XPro OMF Import/Export plug in has been developed by Sydec Audio Engineering for all Soundscape Digital Audio Workstations (Soundscape 32, Soundscape 16, R.Ed, SSHDR1-Plus). When installed, it expands Soundsape’s exceptional level of cross-platform compatibility even further by adding OMF Composition Import, OMF Composition Export and OMF Audio Import options to the File menu of the Soundscape Editor. The OMF (Open Media Framework) format is supported by a wide range of production and post-production systems, Digital Audio Workstations and MIDI+Audio sequencers.
